Adamson [twice-to-beat] vs. UST
The UAAP Defending Champion Adamson Lady Falcons disposed of the Lady Tigers to clinch the First Finals slot in this year's UAAP Women's Basketball Tourney to the tune of 53 against 45. Adamson Coach Emily Vega's girls outrebounded Chris Cantonjos' charges 70-54. Penaranda, Buendia, and Balasta topscored for Adamson and combining for 35 of the Falcons' total of 53 -- while Andaya, Reyes, Meija and Bombeo lead UST in scoring, combining for 33 of UST's total of 45.

La Salle vs. FEU [twice-to-beat]
Coach Tyrone Bautista couldn't have been much happier. His young Lady Archers beat the twice-to-beat FEU Lady Tams 57-54 to forge a winner-take-all / knockout match on Tuesday, Sept.20, Tuesday.

Inna didn't score much, only 2 points, but came away with 10 boards,
next only to Abaca's 17 big ones.
Hannah Viterbo takes a three from 9 o'clock as
Mariluo Borja arrives too late.

Small but terrible - Tricia Piatos managed 8 points
and 7 rebounds, 2 of which were offensive.

Blue Eaglets beat the Junior Tamaraws [62-53]
to force a knockout match on Sept. 20,Tuesday.

NU vs. La Salle [twice-to-beat]
Boris Aldeguer's boys came away with 19 turnover points, as compared to NU's 11, and DLSZ had 12 steals to NU's 5. But the Bulldogs' domination of the boards [50 against 36] and field goal clip [42% tagainst 22%] did the Junior Archers in.
By the start of the 4th Quarter, NU was up by 15. All they had to do in the last 10 minutes was just to match DLSZ basket for basket/point for point and that would be more than enough for them to win. And that's exactly what NU did. They scored 19 points and allowed DLSZ to score 20 poinbts in the 4th and when the final buzzer sounded the score was NU-66 DLSZ-52.
Raphael Atangan's gutsy moves paid dividends for NU.
He managed 14 points with 32 minutes playing time.
He also took 9 boards, 3 of which were offensive.
Gabby Reyes was the lone Archer with double figures.
Napa, Atangan, Baliton, and Rivero all scored double figures for NU.
